Meta Hospital is a virtual immune system, a recycling station for emotional and biological waste, sorting our world between reality and the virtual. Identity-less characters emerge and mutate under the caring gaze of avatar-doctors.
Freely inspired by Magnus Hirschfeld’s Institute for Sexual Research (destroyed in 1933) and philosopher Thomas Pradeu’s immunological research (CNRS), the work proposes a sensitive journey where regeneration and metamorphosis unfold through bodily fluids, microbiota, and marginalized beings, creating new solidarities.
Combining drawings, 3D modeling, still and animated images, Valentin Ranger constructs a fertile and welcoming world—an ecosystem of alternative balances that redirects the chaos of reality.
